Senior Secrets

  1. Only your yearbook photo must be made by the contract photographer. Do you let your school decide who cuts your hair? Why let them tell you who takes you senior portraits? Now that you're a senior, it's time to start making your own decisions. Your school decided who took your photographs for the last eleven years, now it's your turn to decide.
  2. Summer tans and sun bleached hair will fade quickly once the school year begins. Capture them now! No worries about the heat, we start early in the day, before it gets hot.
  3. Fall is busy with home coming, college visits and the holidays?..don't fall into the trap of thinking you'll "schedule your appointment later", the reality is that your senior year is going to be much busier than the summer before your senior year.
  4. If you hate your photos from the contract guy or if you think you won't have the time to do your portraits in the summer, the time is now. Springtime is crazy and expensive with spring beat and the prom, buying announcements, prom dresses and tuxes, renting limos, buying graduation caps and gown and paying for debutante balls. Take your portraits now while it's still green and pretty. Now before you hit up mom and dad for that fabulous prom dress, or beg for the new car for graduation? Now so you'll have them in time to give for holiday gifts? (everybody from grandma to your boyfriend or girlfriend will love the gift of a framed portrait of you.) Did I mention that now is the time to call for you appointment?
  5. Get your photos made early so you have them for senior ads in the yearbook and the playoff football program and all of your activity programs and junior and senior banquet videos. When your image flashes up on the big screen in front of every junior and every senior in your school, plus their parents, you know you're going to want to look amazing.
  6. Don't wait until the last minute, every year our studio is forced to turn away seniors that wait until the last minute. Make sure you call early so we can reserve a spot for you.
  7. You'll will want to have wallets to include in your college application and eventually you are going to need them for sorority recruitment (rush).
  8. You already know you want something better and different than the usual boring photos that most of your classmates will have when they go to the school photographer.   9. Note: I discourage clients from wearing white shirts, because white tends to draw the viewers eye and detracts the eye from the face of the subject.
